MEGAN HENNESSY
Megan Hennessy
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from the University of Colorado Boulder. Additionally, I completed a post-baccalaureate research position at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Department of Psychiatry in the Parent-Infant Mental Health Programs. Before relocating to Madison, Wisconsin, I interned on numerous times at Children’s Hospital Colorado in the outpatient intake clinic and Partial Hospitalization Programs.

Currently, I work with Trailways Counseling as a Recreational Mentor with consumers referred by Comprehensive Community Services. While with clients, I utilize a client-directed, strength-based approach to ensure clients feel heard and supported.
I have experience working with children and families from many different backgrounds and perspectives. I recognize and hold awareness for how discrimination, harassment, racism, sexism, and homophobia can oppress people and contribute to mental health concerns. I strive to build strong therapeutic alliances to better serve each individual client.

In my free time, I love to travel, run, be outdoors, and spend time with my family and friends!
